My church had
different programs planned each day.
The programs i attended were
- A'oga aso sa/ Sunday school, and i am in the vasega feololo.
- Aoga mea/ Homework centre is on every Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday. We go and there are Sunday school teachers that help us with our homework
- every Wednesday we go to church and we have bible studies
My church always teaches me and make me understand about the stories in the bible and about Jesus
I go to Robertson Road School
At my school our three main school rules are
- Respect
- Relationship
- Service
My school celebrates the cultural language weeks in our school. i am in a Samoan and English bilingual named POM (Puna o le malamalama)
I only live with my parents and siblings
I have a very funny, loving, caring and a supportive family and they are very hard working people. They work hard every day to provide for us kids in the house.
Another program my church and many other churches do is white Sunday. During white Sunday we sing lots and lots of songs, and all the Sunday school classes will perform a play from a story in the bible
Church in the pandemic
My parents, and my grandparents were my very first teachers, so i have learned a lot from them before i started attending school.
My family has taught me how to be responsible and how to take care of myself and how to respect others more than to respect myself
As we are all Samoans we celebrate Samoan language week by playing cultural games and doing cultural traditions, with our teachers leading them.
And at the end of the year we will have our own bilingual prize giving.
My parents educate me on how to prepare myself for my future ahead of me, and they also help me stay focus more on school then on games and devices. To do that they allowed me to play on the play station in the weekends, and i find it very helpful.
While my grandparents educate me and tell stories about the bible and about our Samoan culture. In fact we do a lotu/afiafi every night before we sleep. They also help me with my school education aswell.
While we are in pandemic we are not allowed to go to church due to isolation and social distances. So there is a sound system team, and they are the only ones that go to church to live stream the church service on facebook.
Pandemic
My family and I have experienced Covid 19/Omicron and have gone through a lot to get better again. We have experienced what being affected by Covid 19/omicron felt like.
For me it was not that big of a problem it was just a sore throat and a cough, while my family were in pain with body aches and a lot more
I have learned that these rules mean
1 Respect - Respect everyone around you
2 Relationship - Be friendly and kind to anyone
3 Service - Make sure to look after and keep the environment clean
BE SAFE
BE KIND
BE YOU
My church in pandemic allows only 100 or lower people inside. So the rest of the church will watch the church service online.

I have very helpful, kind and supportive friends in school.
School in pandemic
While in the pandemic the school principles sorted out and devided the time between the yr 1 - 6 and the yr 7 & 8 students playing & eating time due to the number of students.
And the students now play and eat in different times
I just got back at school and it is now week 6, this is only my second week at school. This is because the other 4 weeks were just in isolation.
Pandemic in school also brings the students and teachers to wear masks all the time, no sharing lunch, keeping a distance and to put on hand sanitiser after everything we do.
Our class expectations are mostly about respecting the teacher and everyone around us, and to use appropriate language and actions
