Anxiety and depression numbers are skyrocketing. People are lonely, people compare themselves to others, people feel a feeling of not being good enough

Social media is making us all antisocial and also gives us the opportunity to isolate ourselves even if we don't realize it.
Our overall health
Another important aspect is our health as a generation overall. Our eyes have been glued to a screen for 15+ years, will that have some sort of effect on us? Our sleeping habits and more.
Today's generation has become lost within social media. People are so glued to their phones that they don't think that there is also a world outside the social platforms. Waste of time...
The future overall
It was also stated that social media is ruining our global economy.
If we don't come together and figure something out before it's too late are we all doomed? Will we survive? There are so many open questions that not many people think about regarding this topic.
What about the Cambridge Analytica Scandal? That pointed out that they sell our own personal data to the highest bidder without questions asked.
Just looking back at how much it has advanced within the last 20 years, how much more can it advance before it's too much? Digital and technology is only evolving.

Due to social media there are issues related to violence, cyberbullying, social conflict and political polarization.
Social Dilemma, one person stated that in the near future he thinks there will be a civil war due to all the division in this country

Is there something we can do right now?
are there things we can do as a society right now to change the direction we are heading? What is there to do to save us?
I think it is important to at least bring it to people's attention and what they decide to do with that information is up to them.
Bringing awareness is always the first step, just even by giving warning or a heads up about the long term effects of social media.
I think that it is super important to be more aware of what is going on around us. Social media seems so harmless but there is so much out there that is right in front of our eyes we just don't take the time to read and realize the facts.
To be and stay prepared for anything that is to come out of advanced technology and apps.
What are different elements that allow us to step into a space to consider how to move towards a future that is good for all? Why does this matter? What is the future that we want? What are we looking towards? How do we create a space that is equitable and just? Will social media allow for that?
