DEFINITION AND MECHANISM OF ACTION
For adults only, not safe to use on children
used to treat a disease that weakens bones (Paget's disease)

help maintain strong bones and reduce risks of fractures
Prevent osteoporosis in postmenopausal women
increase bone mass in man with osteoporosis
SIDE EFFECTS
upset stomach
increased severe joint/bone/muscle pains
unusual groin pain
vision problems
esophagitis
muscle spasms or contractions
numbness
coughing up blood
STORAGE
store at a room temperature
keep out of reach of children.
away from light and moisture
ADMINISTRATION
orally
35mg once weekly
osteoporosis in men
swallow with plain water
do not lie down for 30 minutes after taking to avoid esophageal irritation.
CONTRAINDICATIONS
Patients who have hypocalcemia
hypersensitive to any components of the drug
