Rosencrantz & Guildenstern were school friends of Hamlet who were paid by King Claudius to spy on Hamlet
The girlfriend of Hamlet, daughter of Polonius and sister of Laertes. Ophelia goes mad after her father dies, which everyone else interprets for mourning.
Laertes is the Son of Polonius and brother of Ophelia. Over the events of the play, he loses his only family, causing him to murder Hamlet
Reynaldo is a young man who was the advisor to Polonius. He is used by Polonius to spy on Laertes, and give a report of his behavior when he was in France
Horatio is Hamlet's good friend. Hamlet respects him and admires how down to earth he is. He is also very intelligent and told Hamlet about the ghost he saw
Claudius is the current king. He killed his brother, old Hamlet, and married his wife right after. He was exposed for this after Hamlet makes a scene in a play very specific to his deeds, and his reaction gave it away
Polonius is the father of Ophelia and Laertes. He is the head Advisor to King Claudius. He is considered by Hamlet to be a "tedious old fool." He is obsessed with his family's image, so much so that he sent a spy to watch his son
Old Hamlet is the late father of Hamlet. He was the King until he was eventually murdered by his brother, who would become King Claudius. To add a cherry on top his brother took Gertrude, his wife, as well. He appears as a ghost in the first act, and tells Hamlet what has happened
Gertrude is the ex-wife of Old Hamlet and the current wife of King Claudius. She did not care too much that Claudius killed her ex-husband, and this caused Hamlet to get very mad and jealous
