Ideas for SEN
-
Optimise pupils’ talking time (proper discussion in pairs, groups or even whole class, but not just answering set questions)
Use concrete and visual resources: hands-on and experiential, use symbols, pictures and colour; this is
particularly important when introducing a new topic or concept
Use memory aids: for example, visual stimuli, songs and rhymes, whatever works – pupils can often come up
with their own which work for them

SEND support
-
Must modify the content, presentation,
environment or expectations of teaching and learning to help SEND learners access lessons.
Space for IT
IT can be a great way to differentiate as it allows children to access further resources and practice computing skills.

G&T support
Gifted and Talented is often used describe those students who are achieving or who have the potential to achieve a level substantially beyond the rest of their peer group inside their particular school.
We want to see all students achieve their best. Learning needs to be suitably challenging for all learners. We do not wish any student to be n the comfort zone or panic zone for too long as it can cause them to form a poor attitude to learning. (RYAN, A. AND MARKOVA - model of learning)
Importance
Individuals within all
groupings will still have different needs and so differentiation will still be required - make learning personalised .
The use of effective differentiation means
that we can enable the vast majority of pupils to access teaching and learning.
