Purpose
As the PC industry transitions, project management has become a big issue for the company. A new project management office is something that AtekPC clearly needs during the current transition the PC industry is in.

What the policy states
Current project managers need to know how they can handle their projects and more efficiently at that.
Fitting a PMO into a non-PMO environment much like the one within the company brings out many challenges since it goes against the culture of the organization. The PMO managers need to find a way to implement the PMO without going against the grain.
It will take effort from everyone involved in the PMO initiative in order to find the solution that best fits everyone’s needs.

How the policy will be implemented
Hiring enough people with PMO experience. This would create a work environment that would allow for more entry-level employees to learn from the experienced workers.
Each new person hired would need to learn the culture of the company and how to work with project managers from different departments.
AtekPC needs to come up with a project management style that works effectively with their work style. Whether that be PMO-light, PMO-heavy, or something in between they really need to find one that fits best with them.
