SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT
It's the development that meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs.
It concerns three pillars:
Environment
Economy, that is interconnected with the society.
Society
there is a stark inequality between rich countries and poor countries. There are a lot of terrible consequences and problems.
in rich countries there are ilnesses like heart diseases for obesity.
climate change. Society asks too much and too quickly to the nature, so the nature has no time to regenerate. Examples of climate change are smog, melting glaciers and water pollution.
OECD
The OECD is the "Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development". It brings together the governments of countries committed to democracy and the market economy to tackle key economic, social and governance challenges in the globalised world economy.
for example, the OECD takes care of:
the role of the women, who are often marginalised. Better use of the world's female population could increase economic growth, reduce poverty, enhance societal well-being, and help the Sustainable Development in all countries.

Various associations have been created and also the "Agenda 2030", which brings together many countries in the world, that has goals to achieve in order to contribute to Sustainable Development.

in poorer countries there are ilnesses like AIDS or Malaria. This has a negative impact on tourism because people don't go to these areas. It has been invented a technology to prevent these diseases, for example the nets with insecticide.
We must work to help the environment, to achieve our objectives of reducing greenhouse gas emissions, improving energy security and reducing air pollution.
Personally, I try to contribute to Sustainable Development. At home, my family and I, we recycle and I try not to waste much water or plastic. I think it's very important to respect the enivronment that surrounds us. We must safeguard the planet for the future.
