-Current Issue:This patient has developed Pneumonia 9 days into his therapy session. This patient also had a serious cough. Because his cough was a very serious matter, he was then given a Nebulizer, which is a device used to help the lungs.
-History: This patient was diagnosed with leukemia 2 years old. He also had a cell transplant at the age of 3. Once he had the transplant, he was starting to progress more but unfortunately the leukemia came back, and at the age of 4 he then had his spleen removed. He has been receiving chemotherapy as well as biological every 3 months and must stay in the hospital for at least 2 weeks during the therapy sessions. He also receives IV saline in the evening. That helps prevents dehydration.

Medical procedures: EKG, echo cardiogram stress test

-Current Issue: This patient's recovery is going very well and he has been progressing very well. But in the last 2 days we have noticed that he has been having trouble breathing and has developed a serious cough. We've have came up with the diagnoses that this is a nosocomial infection. He is just now showing signs sense he has only been in the hospital for 7 days
-History: This male patient came to the ER with very serious chest pains that went through his back and left arm as well. He had difficulty breathing and was experiencing a headache as well. He had these symptoms for 2 days. The patient was put on a Saline IV and was preparing for an OR. He was then tested for an Echocardiogram stress test, which is a test that shows your stress level and how well your heart can manage under different types of stress. The results came back and showed that there was 90% blockage on one of his coronary arteries. They then decided to do an Angioplasty test, which helps restores the blood flow in the arteries. Currently the patient is in the Step-down Unit and his blood results show that his cholesterol is high so the Cardiologist prescribed an 80 mg children's and a 60mg lovastatin.
