Anthropocene
Definition : Anthropocene means "Human's era". It's a period in the history of earth suggested to collect all geological events that happened since human's activities have had a significative impact on the terrestrial ecosystem.
This term has been popularized by the dutch meteorologist and chemist Paul Joseph Crutzen at the end of the 20th century. He used it to designate a new geological period or era which started at the end of the 18th century, along with the beginning of the industrial revolution.

Causes of its beginning
In 1776, the Scottish engineer James Watt creates the steam engine, which consists in the very first important machine ever. Its creation leads to a lot of other technological progress. Since then, the world has evolved exponentially. Throughout the decades, the society began to be more and more industrialized and dependent.
The development of the industry has led to the emission of multiple greenhouse gazes, which led to the rise of the temperature of the atmosphere, and so the climate change we're seeing nowadays.
