Rock Types
Sedimentary
Formed from broken remains of other rocks that have formed together. Rivers transport the parts of rock and when it meets the sea, the rock settles at the bottom. The pressure from the parts of rock pushing down forms sedimentary rock
Examples - Sandstone, Limestone

Metamorphic
Formed when rocks are put under high heat and pressure. Conditions like these are usually found deep within the earth where two tectonic plates meet
Examples - Quartzite, Marble

Plate Boundaries
Convergent
Convergent plate boundaries are plate boundaries that are formed by 2 tectonic plates, an oceanic plate and a ground plate slide together, the oceanic plate is small so it slides underneath the ground plate, forming high pressure that pressures the magma to come shooting out
