It has 2 sides, on the one hand it is important, because people should be educated, everyone should have one's own subject of knowledge, Educated people can find job on their profession easier than uneducated. But on the other hand- we are living ( we live?) in time of internet technologies, when anyone who has internet connection and enough free time can educate himself, But I think it's better to get degree at uni and study further on your own, improving your skills in the way you want, and recon more important than others. Anyway, in our reality degree is important to feel self-confident. You can try doing your own business and if you fail - go and find usual job.
