- choose which force is negative/positive (it will stay the same the whole way thru)
- find net force (take the positive force and subtract the negative force) always newtons
- find acceleration (net force= mass of the object multiplied by acceleration...divide both by mass)
- your acceleration would essentially be net force over mass (always m/s/s)
