This food chain shows that it starts with Algae, the Algae is eaten by Diatoms, the Diatoms are then eaten by Copepods, the Copepods are then eaten by Arctic Cod, the Arctic Cod are then eaten by Ringed Seals, then, finally the Ringed Seals are eaten by Polar Bears; so on.
If you take one of these out, the whole food chain would collapse; for example, taking the Algae out would leave the Diatoms with nothing to eat, so then they would die, leaving the Copepods to die and so on.
If you take one of these out, the whole food chain would collapse; for example, taking the Polar Bear out would mean there are more Ringed Seals; the more Ringed Seals there are, the less Arctic Cod there is; the Ringed Seals would then die and so on.
