A road trip requires essential planning and an end-destination. As does professional practice, relating to planning effective teaching and a positive classroom (mostly issue-free experience (drive)). Also relating to an appropriate and manageable end destination in assessment, while also assessing along the journey to see if they are taking the correct path (formative). It is also key that educators have knowledge to support this journey and decisions in the classroom and make it the safest and most inclusive community that facilitates learning towards end destination of assessment (summative).
While also in the visual, demonstrates what happens when planning, assessment and community are not optimal and working together, the journey may become ‘lost’ and more difficult (loop). While with good planning, effective execution, and inclusivity - a smooth ride to the destination can be enabled.
