SPECIAL EDUCATION CURRICULUM
National Curriculum which is modified by the Register General
Curriculum which is specially designed by the Register General
The National Curriculum
any skill training curriculum which is suitable and beneficial for the pupil with special educational needs
APPEAL
Appeal to the registrar in writing within thirty days from the date of the notification of the determination.
IMPLEMENTATION OF THE SPECIAL EDUCATI0N
teacher shall use the Individual Education Plan
use the Special Education Curriculum
Teacher may make modification t0 the teaching & learning meth0ds or techniques, time allocated, activities arrangement and teaching aids.
REQUIREMENT TO ATTEND PROBATION PERIOD
upon completion of probation period, the school attended by the pupil during the probation period shall prepare and submit a probation period report to a panel
the panel shall consist of the following members;
The State Education Department Officer or District Education Officer
The School Welfare Department Officer or Persons with Disabilities Development Department Officer
The Principle, Head teacher, or Senior Assistant for special education
The pupil shall attend a probation period of not more than three months at a government school or government-aided school
SUITABILITY OF ATTENDING SPECIAL EDUCATION
Upon receipt of the probation period, panel shall determine on the suitability of the pupil with special education needs to attend the special Education
the school which is attended by the pupil during the probation period shall notify the determination made by the panel t the parent of the pupil.:
CODE OF PRACTICE
the Registrar General may amend the Code of Practice
any person who is involved in the implementation of the Special Education shall comply with the Code of Practice.
Prepared by the Registrar General which consists of Standard Procedure that provide guidance in planning, preparing and implementing the educational programme for pupil with special education needs.
REQUIREMENT T0 ATTEND C0-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES
Attend the co-curricular activities as defined in the Education National Curriculum Regulation 1997 according to the suitability of the pupil.
