Joints
Finger Joints
finger joints are easy to make all is needed is to cut out equally sized shapes from both pieces of wood like seen in the image
Butt Joint
the butt joint is the easiest joint there is but most likely the weakest joint all is needed is to glue two sections of wood together
tongue and groove
Tongue and groove joint is like the mortise and tenon joint, but instead of joining two pieces at a 90° angle, the tongue and groove connection creates a strong and smooth parallel joint.
mortise and tenon
A mortise and tenon is a joint that is made up of two parts. The tenon part of the joint works as a peg, and the mortis is the hole where the tenon is inserted
Finishes
Lacquer
-
a lacquer is used to apply a glossy or matte look on timbers it can also be further polished. it also protects from liquids. it also stays clear over time

Assembly
-
-
Clamping
-
clamping your wood when gluing is better than not clamping because the glue releases moisture which makes it shrinks and leaves gaps the wood then also swells and increases the gap, it also removes bubbles. If you clamp the wood it prevents this from happening and leaves you with a stronger joint
materials
Timbers

timbers are the materials we get from many different trees which we cut down. every different tree is unique in its colour and strength
plastic
