STRUCTURE: Subject+use to+ verb(infinitive)+complement
WHEN CAN WE USE IT? To talk about states or habits that were true in the past but are not true now .
EXAMPLES: she would like to be there when the show starts
STRUCTURE:
WHEN WE CAN USE IT?t is used when we want to be very polite when asking someone for something or inviting someone to do something. When it is accompanied by the verb to like, it is usually translated by would like.
Negative: Subject+Would+ not+ Main verb+Complement
Question: Would+Subject+Main verb+ Complement
Positive: Subject+Would+Main verb+Complement
EXAMPLES:I had dinner with lucy and her parents yesterday
Verb to be: is-are/was-were. Verb to have:had. Irregular verbs examples:bought, went,began, could,came....
WHEN CAN WE USE IT? . The past simple is used to talk about a specific action that started and ended in the past. In this case it is equivalent to the Spanish indefinite past tense. Generally, we use it with adverbs of time
STRUCTURE:
Negative:Subject + didn’t + infinitive verb + complement
Interrogative:Did + subject + verb in infinitive + complement
Affirmative: Subject + verb in the past + complement.
EXAMPLES:she was always riding a bike to school

WHEN CAN WE USE IT?The past continuous with words such as "always" expresses the idea that something irritating or shocking often happened in the past. The concept is very similar to the expression used to but with negative emotion
