we have to, to express obligations: We have to show our passports when we cross the border.

We use must to express obligations: You must take your passport with you everywhere you go.

We use mustn't to express prohibition, to say that something is not allowed: You mustn't use your phone in the cinema.

We use don't have to to (but not mustn't) when it is not necessary to do something: We didn't have to show our passports when we crossed into Scotland.
