Staff
Stay on the edges on whatever setting you are in. By doing this, you can ensure you have a full view of all children. This is essential for health and safety but also to allow you to observe their form.
If giving feedback to individual children/groups, bring them to you, if they are in the center of the group.

-
Warm Up
Consistent warm ups are best for younger years as it allows you to give more time to the main teaching.
-
Keep warm ups brief but effective - so that children can start the teaching more quickly while also being suitably prepared to reduce the chance of injury.
Year Group Advice
Consider what they can do with ease - what you have observed and build lessons around the skills they need to develop.
-
Feedback
-
Allow children to try activities/tasks, Observe them and then stop the lesson. Talk about good practice you have seen and practice to improve on - ask children to demonstrate what they did - modelling to group.
Games
Game sports need to be built up to - practice the skills needed over a half term and then play the sport game, so they can excel.
Whistle games and similar ones allow children to stop warm up in ready made groups. However, this can be problematic if they end up in a bad mixture.
