They used to demand the recovery of the agricultural sector, the elimination of labor outsourcing and the payment of parallel payrolls.
CHILD LABOR FACTS AND PROGRESS
In Colombia there are high levels of poverty and because of this, children go out to work to help at home instead of studying.
Also in Colombia there are high levels of unemployment and because of this a large part of the workers are unemployed, this results in informal work where many children are involved.
If children do not study, their future will be even more difficult, because without studies, who will hire you. When children work, their rights are violated, they miss out on the childhood that all children should live.

The workers' centrals are in charge of organizing peaceful marches to strategic points in the cities to demand their rights.
HEALTH
It helps avoiding work accidents, by ensuring that both the workplace, the machines, tools and any other equipment that the worker must use will be safe.

As in the united states it is the payment according to the work of the years but the pension is getting longer and longer, so it is becoming more and more difficult
EDUCATION
Children that live in places far away from cities and don´t have acess to Internet, now they could received classes listening form a radio.
HISTORIC FACTS

*In the 1800´s many workers noitced that they had been working for too many hours and their salary was not good enough.
*In 1896, President
Ulysses S . Grant announced that government employees would be guaranteed an eight-hour workday and a stable wage.
*On May 4, 1886, eighty thousand people stand at
Chicago’s Haymarket Square to protest employers’
of how the workers were treated, and police
officers used heavy force.
In 1906, following the threat by the union menbers, two printed companies switched to an eight-hour workday.
In 1914, Henry Ford increased automobile workers’ wages to $5 .00 a day.
In year 1938 the threat was turning into a point in labor reform. Thanks to President Roosvelt, congress passed the Fair Labor Standarts act (FLSA).

This struggle of labor day led to the creation of a law guaranteeing safety standards in the workplace. Nowadays there is also insurance for the worker, there are different types of insurance, such as health, life, disability and accident insurance.

EDUCATION
In the book shows the increase of the child labor in the past mainly it was less expensive for employers to hire children than
adults. The law prohibited most types of child labor, so the children can go to school because they no had to work any more.

RIGHTS
With the laws, the people get benefits for they welfare. The laws made the limited workweek to forty-four hours, it also set the minimum wage and the people who work extra hours need to be paid extra, as I said before, the law established safety standards

Basically is a monetary compensation obtained at retirement and financed with pension contributions plus the income generated during the working life.

HELP FROM THE CONGRESS
In Colombia there are subsidies which "help" the unemployed, the truth in Colombia is that the minimum wage is not enough to have a good welfare. The public health is not the best, the education is not the best, for this reason it is necessary to fight for a better stability.
