Ethics
Informing
If you don't inform people that an image is manipulated then you are lying to them and tricking them which is seen as morally wrong as it is unfair and unkind.
This is a good form of image manipulation because when informing the people who see a manipulated image that the image is manipulated, you aren't also manipulating the people, you are just making an image look the way you want it to look
Letting people know when an image has been manipulated, otherwise it can be seen as manipulation
Manipulating people
People who manipulate an image are most likely doing it for one or more of the three reasons above which is unfair and misleading.

I plan to create many different images demonstrating how companies lie about different things to sell their products and I plan to show the techniques of how they do this.
Improving
There is nothing wrong with improving an image just to make it look more appealing as long as you're not trying to lie about it or sell products and mislead people.
Images can be improved in many different ways, another being with symmetry. This is a way of making images look surreal while still capturing the beauty and detail.
These images can be of anything such as landscapes, objects, people, even basic things such as lines, shapes and colours.
I plan to improve a wide range of subjects by manipulating them in a way that makes them look better. This could be by adding slight adjustments through photo editing software
