VAGINA
the vagina is used for sexual intercourse, the sperm are deposited here.
CERVIX
the cervix is a muscular ring of muscle that holds the developing embryo in the uterus.
UTERUS
the uterus (the womb) is where the embryo grows.
ENDOMETRIUM
the endometrium has a good blood supply so the embryo can implant and grow.
OVARY
the ovary produce ova (eggs) and sex hormones
FALLOPIAN TUBE
the egg will travel down the fallopian tube (oviduct) where it will meet the sperm and the fertilisation will occur.
TESTIS
where the sperm is made
SCROTUM
contains the testis outside of the main part of the reproductive system.
the reason the scrotum is outside of the main part of the reproductive system is because it is 2 C cooler there
SPERM DUCT
the muscular tube that store sperm and then forces it along during ejaculation.
GLANDS
produce the liquid that's added to the sperm to create semen.
URETHRA
the semen then passes down the urethra and into the vagina during sexual intercourse.
BLADDER
the urethra is also connected to the bladder and it is used to excrete urine
