Nervous system
-
Functions
- Coordinate all organs and systems of our body
- Process the information and given an answer to it
- To transmit the nerve impulses
-
Cells
The nervous system coordinates the body´s function. It´s formed by 2 types of cells: neurons and neuroglia.
-
Neuroglia: located between neurons, support, nourish and protect them. There are several types.
Funtioning
At first, the sense organs percives an stimuli and in the sensory recpetors that we have in these sense organs the information passes through the sensorial neurons to the central nervous system.
In these system we have the interneurons that connects sensorial and motor neurons. The CNS elaborates an answere to the stimuli and is transmitted to the effector organs by the motor neurons.
