Context
Delilah in the Old Testament, is the central figure of Samson's last love story. She was a Philistine who was bribed to entrap Samson, coaxed him into revealing that the secret of his strength was his long hair. She took advantage of his confidence to betray him to his enemies
Delilah was seen as a traitor. But in this story, Delilah does it to save Samson from becoming a brutish and masculine man. She is not a prostitute who betrayed him for money.
This text attempts to subvert gender norms and show the detriments of what hyper masculinity can do, whilst focusing on traditional feminity as a larger strength than physical strength.
