Nelson Mandela
Mandela was born on the 18 junly 1918 in umbata. when he stared primary school, his theacher gave him this name Nelson, because the teacher gave all school children "Christian" names.
in 1944 Nelson joined the African National Congress whitch started a camping of civil disobedience against unjust laws. In 1956, the guvernament accused Mandela of treason. on 21 march 1960 police killed 69 unarmed people during a demostration in sherpeville.
in july 1962, the police arrested him and the guvernment sent him in prigiom; after 27 years in prigion, on Sunday 11 Februrary 1990 Mandela became a free man. In 1993 won the Nobel Prize and in 1994 he voted for first time in his life.
