The difference in languages, or in the meaning of what we mean produces innumerable problems in communication for obvious reasons. There is no effective process since I cannot understand what the other is saying to me and he cannot understand what I am trying to answer.

Stereotypes and prejudice

Creating stereotypes about different cultures, whether they will be good or bad, is a way of creating barriers because it leads us to think something that is probably wrong about a group of people
For example, Asians are good at math or all Colombians are poor people.
Behavior and beliefes

The way we behave changes according to the type of culture that each country has, for example some may be multiactive and be more open and others linearly active and be more closed.
For example, if a Muslim comes to Latin America, the cultures will be totally different.
Ethnocentrism
the way in which a country or a group of countries isolate themselves from the rest, believing themselves better in some aspects, prevent communication from being effective
For example, usually the people of the United States believe themselves better than Latin Americans because it is a more advanced country.
Religion
As with stereotypes, religion creates an image of people who fill our heads with ideas and prejudices that prevent us from speaking effectively with others.
For example, Protestant Christians are often seen in a strange way because of their way of dressing or their beliefs marked by other religions

In some countries it is still frowned upon for women to express their opinion on important issues such as politics, economics, etc. Between different cultures this can be a great barrier
