Japan
Geography
Archipelago on the eastern edge of Asia.
Frequent earthquakes because of their location. It´s located where several continental plates meet.
Many volcanoes and natural hot springs.
International Relations
U.S. is the closest ally of Japan. Then, United Kingdom, France, Germany, Italy, Russia and Canada.
Together they develop economic policies, handle any global crises and discuss energy use and global security.
History
1543: Europeans first arrived in Japan.
Japan fought on the side of the U.S. during World War I and later they bombed the United States navy fleet at Pearl Harbor in Hawaii, that makes them enter to the World War II.
Culture
People - Have many believes like don’t whistling at night because it may bring out snakes or breaking a comb brings bad luck.
Food - Rice with miso soup and sushi. Seafood is common in the plates.
Religion - Two main religions in Japan: Shinto and Buddhism.
Greetings - A slight bow of the head.
