How I Fell In Love With the Quran - In the US
Ironically, I come from Malaysia, a majority Muslim country. Throughout my schooling years, I went to religious school.
But it seems Allah has miraclous ways in opening our eyes - better still, our hearts. He in His All Encompassing Knowledge - definitely has better plans for us.
Everyday, at school in Malaysia, there was a session of khatirah or tadzkirah as what we call it here. It was illuminating, yet for each of the content was just a recycle as what I had heard since childhood. All the stories, ahadeeth and verses of the Quran quoted by the speaker I have already memorized when I was small.
So when it was time for me to choose whether to select the religous stream or science stream, by default I was hesitant to choose
