  1. You breathe in air with oxygen.
  1. It travels through your nose and mouth, and then throat to your windpipe.

Diaphragm

  1. It enters the lungs.
  1. Goes into smaller tubes into air sacs.
  1. Oxygen goes through the walls of the lungs into the blood vessels.
  1. The blood goes to the heart and then pumps oxygen to all of the body.
  1. Used oxygen is exhaled as carbon dioxide.

You can only live a few minutes without breathing.

Your muscles need oxygen to function.
