The Parable of the Lost Sheep
Part 2
By His Voice: The voice of the shepherd is known to the sheep.John 10: 4-5.
The voice here is the word of God, the less we are listening to the Word has the potential to fall into sin.
Mother Theresa said,
“My secret is a very simple one: I pray, Prayer is simply talking to God He speaks to us; we listen. We speak to him; he listens. A two way process Speaking and listening."
Through His sacrifice: in John 10:11 Jesus gave His life to protect us, who dared to fight the wolves that come to bite the sheep.
The more we feel the sacrifice of Christ on the Cross, the more we will not dare to sin.
Symbol
Based on the book “the habits and characteristics of a sheep”, we can discovered that a sheep is a weak and helpless animal.
The sheep's basic habit is to wander and get lost. They always want to go to the greener grass on the other side of the fence.
Sheep is a stubborn animal- they want to go their own way. You can't teach a sheep tricks.Even cattle don't need a shepherd, the sheep often go to dangerous areas and then trapped.
They can't take care of themselves compare to other animals.
They don't think what will happen next
Point of view of God
In the time of Jesus, a person who had a hundred sheep must have a shepherd who works for him, a shepherd must know the name of every sheep, and count them at least once a day.
The sheep will waiting for someone. When the shepherd found the sheep, he put it on his shoulder, to protect the sheep and return to the barn.
Like a sheep, God carried us, he put us on his shoulder, when he finds us as a lost sheep.
God considers us important not because we are strong, great and smart but because we are weak and helpless.
Conclusion
For no joy is more beautiful to God than to find us as lost sheep. There is a Rejoice when the lost sheep are found.
Luke 15: 6, “And when he arrived home he called his friends and neighbors and said To them, Rejoice with me, for the sheep that were lostI have found it. “
John 10: 3 says “He calls his own sheep by name and leads them out” For most people, the name may not be a matter. But for me if someone calls me by name, it is an honor and respect. Jesus calls us by name, means we are something to His eyes.

Questions to think about
Have we ever felt rejected by other people ?
The more you are rejected, the
more you get the attention of Jesus, the more people look down on you, the more Jesus will look at you.
Why are we so precious to God and why he can't stop loving us?
Because we have sinned (astray).
I Peter 2:25 “For you were like sheep going astray, but now you are going astray has returned to the Shepherd and keeper of your souls.
”Isaiah 53: 6 “We have all gone astray like sheep; took his own way, but God has laid on him our iniquity all. ”Sinful man is the lost Lamb.
“God looks for them and doesn’t give up, until He finds them.
Point of view of God
At that time a person who had Sheep will usually hire a keeper
The gates of which are access to the cage was only made of one, so it was not easy for thieves and robbers to take it.
This shows that how God keeps us from sinning, even being tempted to fell into sin. We are sheep that are easily lost, easily influenced and tempted to fall into sin.
Conclusion
Evil will tempt us with trickery, some even using violence.
Because we are sheep
But the Word of God says if we take Jesus as our Shepherd and
He will go before us, the sheep will follow Him.
As a sheep we cannot fight sin using our strength, sheep are foolish animal, very easy distracted, deceived by property, position, worldly things, very easy to tortured, do not have the ability to fight back.
