What we need to have in a blueprint?
Some measurement data, like height of the building, height of each floor
scaleof the drawing: size: window needs to be smaller than door
Forms and features of the buildings : shapes and structures of the different buildings, how it help to serve your purpose of the building
Function of the buildings: hospitals, police station, fire house, need to label them
fixtures, appliances, openings such as door and window
Designer's name and date
What we need to think about when desiging? Our priority is?
Safety (wind-resistant, hold weight, connect with shape, curved surface)
Environment (protect environment, landscape for example Richmond houses don't have basement, earthquake, rain eg.Van has lots of rains so the roof will be flat or not. sunlight)
Material (environmental friendly, cost, accessible) metal, marble, steel, alumnium, wood, glass)

How to make your blueprint
Tools: ruler, pencil/pen, eraser, compass in real life
The right side corner of the sheet houses the title block i.e. the name of the view, scale of the drawing, name of designer and the date.
Begin with drawing the exterior walls of the building then slowly move on to the interior walls and then the doors and windows.
Proceed to labelling rooms then locating fixtures and appliances. Next step is to draw electrical symbols and label floor surfaces.
Dimension your drawings accurately and remember to dimension each room, the cabinet depths, closets, and distances from walls to edges of appliances.
