no tx needed, NSAIDs sometimes
can expect to make full recovery

localised tenderness over fem condyles
separation of bone + cart from med fem condyle following AVN
complete separation may result in loose body formation, sx of knee locking or giving way
tx = rest, quads exercise, sometimes arthroscopic surgery required
