Should we use animals for scientific tests?
Argument #3: Physical harm to animals
Most animals when they have finished what they were getting tested are killed when they are no longer needed
animals when they new getting tested on are put in a cage thing that gives the people access to their head and body so they can test on those areas
When the animals get tested on they get injected with chemicals or get stuff that is harmful to their skin and eyes

History & Background
The first humane society was built in 1866, but towards the end of the 1900s people started realizing that animal testing was happening

Some of the first animals they did testing on were pigs and goats

Animal testing started in ancient Greece 4th and 3rd BCE

Thesis: arguing against animal testing
we should also not do animal testing because it might impact the future of the type of animal
some of the things that they use animals to test for might be toxic and harm the animals
We should not use animals for testing because animals have feelings too
Animals should not be used for scientific testing because animals are living creatures that are similar in complexity to humans, it could have an effect on the animal population, and the testing could physically harm the animals.
Argument #1: Living creatures are similarly complex to humans
Animals can communicate with each other and they can also talk with other spices

.
Animals are able to do problem solving and have a cognitive brian

Hook
Do you know how many of your household or cosmetic products have been tested on animals?
Did you know that about 97% of animals are killed after getting tested

Argument #2: Effect on animal population
The animals are injected with diseases so they can try to find cures that will help humans with that deases
https://www.hsi.org/news-media/about/
when the animal dies and it has all this toxic chemicals for the environment when the animal decomposes into the ground that would effect the way that they soil will grow things

Each year more then 1 million Animals mice, rats, frogs, dogs, cats, rabbits, hamsters, guinea pigs, monkeys, fish, and birds are killed in labs

Specialized Information
Out of 93 dangerous drug side effects, only 19% could have been predicted by animal tests, a recent study found
over 100 million animals are burned, crippled, poisoned, and abused in US labs every year.
