Mistreating the Environment
Artists
Peter Deligdisch
Very Detailed abstract patterns with a lot of depth, usually in black ink however this artist has explored many different types of materials to use in his artwork such as glowing ink, his style of work is a lot like mine
Christoffer Relander
Double exposure artist that works mainly with portraits and nature
Mike Moats
Close up macro, nature photographer
ralph Eugene Meatyard
Shallow depth of field photographer who did a photoshoot called zen twigs.
Global warming
Fossil Fuels:red_cross:-
Factories create many destructive gases that are rising and thickening the atmosphere. (Could take pictures and do chaotic abstract drawings/ edits to represent them)
Overgrazing:red_cross:-
Too many animals are being made for their produce which is creating more methane and making global warming worse.(Could take a few edits of animals and do a drawing on the edit)
Renewable energy- :green_cross:
There are better ways to gain energy. (Could show this in a good light, maybe more smooth abstract patterns)
Research for global warming
Extreme Events:red_cross:-
Many tropical storms are becoming more extreme as global warming continues(Tropical storms would be great to draw in my abstract style)
Beautiful Environments Being Destroyed-
This includes the north and south poles
Animal care
Deforestation :fire:-
Rainforests full of life are being destroyed
Ice caps melting:red_cross:-
Polar bears and other animals can become extinct
Tropical Storms:red_cross:-
These aren't just affecting humans, they are affecting so many animals
Helping
Recycling
:recycle:
-
refining recycled goods uses a lot less energy than using raw materials in the manufacturing process, as well as saving money and this allows for extra energy to extract and transport raw materials. (Can create an artwork out of things that I would've thrown away or out of things that can't be recycled)
Research for recycling
Eating less meat :check:-
Doing this does not mean you need to be a vegan or a vegetarian but you do not need to eat more meat than your body needs to be healthy, this can help stop overgrazing as there will be a lower demand for meat and other products that come from animals.
Transport :green_cross:-
It is very possible to ride a less polluting car or an electric car, riding a bike would be even better for the environment and your health overall
Ideas for Artwork
Overall I am going to focus on using my abstract art style to represent the environment and nature and how it is beautiful and how it should not be destroyed by people and instead it should be saved. I may not use some of the ideas on this mind map to do with how the environment is being destroyed but I will take images of anything that I can to show how incredible nature really is and then I will use my abstract drawings to add to this and show how people have tangled themselves in with nature as they continue living, they are becoming more tangled as nature fights back until finally nature will take over if we do not attempt to save it. Nature will save itself.
Photography techniques
Double exposure
Rule of thirds
Close up photography
Depth of field
Drawing Ideas
Tangled abstract patterns
Abstract patterns that relate to nature
Specified drawing compositions which will best compare an image with the drawing
Experimentation
Using different media
Ink, graphite, charcoal, colour, acrylics
Different styles of drawing
More in depth
More open and less detailed
Curved
Geometrical
Intertwining
