ELECTRICITY
ELECTRIC CIRCUITS
-
- GENERATORS: they have two poles
- Batteries: they use chemical process to generate the electric current
- Alternators: they transform motion into electrical current
- Photovoltaic cells: they use energy from the sun
- Hydrogen cells: they produce energy from the oxygen
- CONDUCTORS: they join all the components of the circuit and allow the flow of the current
- RECEPTORS: they transform the electrical energy that they receive into another type of useful energy
- CONTROL COMPONENTS: they direct or interrupt the flow of the electrical current
- PROTECTION COMPONENTS: interrupt the flow of the current when it gets too high

ELECTRIC CURRENT
-
CONDUCTOR AND INSULATORS
CONDUCTORS: allow electric currents to pass through them (metals, silver, copper,...)
INSULATORS: do not allow electric currents pass through them (plastic, wood, ceramics,...)
