A- alliance: the act of allying or state of being allied. a formal agreement or or treaty between two or more nations to cooperate in specific situations.
I- imperialism: is a state policy, practice, or advocacy of extending power and dominion, especially by direct territorial acquisition or by gaining political and economical control of other territories and peoples.
M- militarism: it can be defined as an extension of military influence into civilian social, political and economical spheres. with the associated prioritizing, promotion and preservation of a nations armed forces.
N- nationalism: is an ideology that emphasizes loyalty, devotion or allegiance to a nation or nation state and holds that such obligation that outweigh other individual or group interests.

industrial revolution
child workers/ labour: child labour was not an invention of the industrial revolution. the poor children would start work as soon as their parents could find work for them. they knew that factories and mines were hungry for workers and required the execution of simple tasks that could easily be performed by children

historical concepts
cause and effect
aims to identify, examine and analyse the reasons why events have occurred and the resulting consequences or outcomes.
continuity+ change
over time some things stay the same, while others change.
significance
The concept relates to the importance assigned to aspects of the past. In order to see if someone is/was an important person people use this concept.
evidence
the concept is the information gathered from historical sources, it can be used to back up statements and hypothesis.
contestability
The concept relates to explanations or interpretations of past events that are open to debate. This can lead historians to draw different conclusions about what they are seeing.
empathy
The concept helps us to understand the impact of past events on particular individuals or groups. it is the ability to 'walk in someone else's shoes' - to be aware of, and sensitive to, their feelings, thoughts and experiences.
perspective
The concept is an important part of historical inquiry. it is a point of view - the position from which people see and understand events going on in the world around them.
World War 1
triple alliance- was an alliance between Austria-Hungary, Italy and Germany
triple entente- was an alliance between France, Britain and Russia
world war 1 started in 1949 due to the assassination of Franz Ferdinand in Bosnia and Herzegovina, he was assassinated by a Serbian man
the domino affect- was an affect where all the countries were battling to see who has the biggest and strongest armies.

the agricultural revolution was an unprecedented increase in agricultural production in Britain due to an increase in labour and land productivity between the mid 17th and late 19th century.
