Carbon Dioxide (Red with BLACK label) - Fire Class A (limited), B. E
Halon (Red with GREEN label) - Fire Class A
Foam (Signal Red with a CREAM label) - Fire Class A, B
Wet Chemical (Red with CANARY YELLOW label) - Fire Class A. F
Dry Powder (Red with BLUE label) - Fire Class A, B, C, E
Specail Powders (Red with BLUE label) - Fire Class D
Water (Signal RED) - Fire Class A
ENSURE THAT:
The nozzle or other parts are not obstructed
The pin and tamper seal are intact
It's not blocked by any objects that could interfere access in an emergency
The pressure is at the recommended level.
ENSURE THAT:
Should be pressure tested after a number of years to ensure that the cylinder is safe to use.
There are no dents, leaks, rust, chemical deposits and other sign of abuse.
If the extinguisher is damaged or needs recharging, get it relanced immediately.
Recharge all extinguishers immediately after use regardless of how much they were used.
