Teens under 14 should not be able to buy and play violent video games because they might have poor friendships, lower grades, and experience mental health issues.
Argument #2 - Lower grades
Teens would spend thier time on video games and might not use thier time productivly.
Video games can distract and hinder a teen's ability to study and focus
Ex. Jo plays a video game instead of studying for his math test, two days later, he gets an E on it. Angry and sad, he relieves these feelings by playing video games, instead of doing his homework. The Cycle continues
Video games can make you do dumber things or make you act dumber - you may have poor concentration or always think about a video game which can lower your grades - which in the long run may lead to a subpar job and even a low income.
Violent videos games can be espiceally addicting, leading to poorer focus and attention in school.
Argument #1 - Poor Friendships
Teens who play violent video games tend to exhibit anit-socail behaviors and also tend to be agressive
Teens who were exposed to violent video games were not able to have empathy or self-control which also means that people wouldn't want to spend time with them
Violent video games show increased thoughts of violence and even made some people have a more hostile view of the world
If a teen spent all their free time playing video games, they would not be also to forge deep relationships with other people, and they may not know how to appropriately act around other people.
Argument #3 - Health Issues
Teens who play violent video games exhibit syptoms of depression
Exposure to real-life violence can lead to anxiety, depression, PTSD - this is also the case when it comes to violent video games
Not having friends/social stimulation can mean a teen feels like they are alone, and that may lead to an addiction to video games
If the teen continues to play these video games, then at a certain point they're going to realize that all the levels they've unlocked were for nothing. This can lead to depression and other negative mental health disorders.
Video games can interfere with your circadian rhythm/sleep cycle. This can lead to health problems like heart diseases, obesity, high blood pressure, and diabetes.
