Questions I have
How much did it cost to ride a plane when they were first invented?
When did planes become a normal practise?
How many planes are flown nowadays?
Why were kites invented?
What are the reasons that flight was invented ?
Are planes or helicopters safer to fly?
How are all the suitcases stored on a airplane?
Things i learnt from my prototype
You have to release the plane at the right time for it to be successful.
By changing the type of plane, makes a slight difference to the distance.
The size of the plane does not affect the outcome
Paper planes tend to travel towards the ground.
The wind plays a crucial role in the distance of the plane.
By applying more force when throwing the plane, it doesn't necessarily go further.
What I know
Flight can be in all shapes and sizes
Was invented as a quicker way to travel
can transfer lots of people at a time international or domestic
flight concepts are still being created today
there are different factors that help mechanisms fly
Materials for flying machines
Titanium
Polymers
Steel
carbon fibre
Aluminium
What are kites
A kite is a flying mechanism that consists of wings, tethers and anchors
Can sometimes be flat or curved and resembles a dragon or butterfly
Have a bridle and a tail to guide where the kite goes
Whilst using the wind, the kite flies high in the air
Used for children enjoyment
