When were the FARC formed?
Formed in 1964 by Manuel Marulanda
It was born out of land dispute, the contact with the PPC( colombian comunist party) and the marxist-leninist ideals.
It came to be after the attack ordered out fear for a new socialist revolution in the continent.
It was launched on a peasant area and by air with 16,000 soldiers who captured the encampments.
Due to orders of Marulanda any peasant who wasn’t in shape to fight had to flee the area, they ones who stayed fought from the mountains and about 54 peasants who were left were the ones who made FARC-EP be born in the territory of Marquetalia, Tolima.

Which actors are involved?
A lot of people participated in the conflict, between the army, the government and criminal gangs.
Multinationals were the external actors that contributed to this conflict to make it worst instead of better as they provided them with financial resources for them to continue with the paramilitary groups.
Used companies to laundry money and export drugs to other countries and to move money underground.
There are about 500 hundred gangs in the important and biggest cities: Bogotá, Mdellín, Bucaramanga, Cali, Cartagena and Barraquilla.
Criminal gangs and paramilitary groups are the ones trafficking drugs, weapons and people.
