Empowering others to support
Ask clarifying questions and for definitions
Okay to say to project teams that I need a lead into conversations etc.
Send notes ahead of session to help others bring me into the conversation at relevant moments
structure - understanding the balance and how to flex both ways. establish this at the start of analysis phase
gentle reminders of all of this stuff with project directors etc
rabbit hole whistle
Goals
helping others understand how to get the best out of me in brainstorm scenarios
Feeling comfortable spontaneously adding insight in a less structured environment
Planning
Being in charge of agenda and designing the format of the meeting.
"what do you think Tracy would think about this if we presented this to her", "I'm not sure this is what X wants out of this" "What is the importance of this"
start with objectives, end with summary and next steps. Could follow up with email and ask others for key points
Can share a more general agenda and then have more detailed and specific agenda to myself
option to have mini presentations with Q&As
try this for FTS segmentation
3 highlights at the start of the session
build in breaks for reflection and processing, and TEA!
facilitate conversation using these techniques
actively listening and repeating back and summarising what's been discussed
Ask questions to the group - "does this align with what you guys have read/heard" . "is there anything different in the ones that you've read?" "I might be over-interpreting"
communicating how reached insight
FTS segmentation
"I don't think that align with what I've heard" or "I think something to add to" or "something we've not touched on"
plugging the gap
consolidating ideas and taking them forward
