competence and fairness

Seek diverse opinions and doesn’t silence dissenting
voices or those that offer a less popular point of view
Democratic leader involves employees in decision making and informs them about issues that affect them.
The most effective when used with skilled, free-thinking, and experienced subordinates who enjoy the relationships and chaos that can result from belonging to a highly effective team.
Democratic leader can produce results in terms of quantity, since many employees like the trust, cooperation, and sense of belonging that go with it.
Requires a positive "chemistry" in the team. If this characteristic is absent, no amount of democracy can make the style work.
However, the democratic process may slow down decision making and may prove too costly.
