Objective: Examine the situation in which the educational system finds itself, its levels, growth and quality in relation to social needs.
CONFORMATION OF THE ECUADORIAN EDUCATIONAL SYSTEM
As for the educational system, this is unequal access.
The students of Basic General Education attend 96.2%.
Higher Education is concerned, it is 39.4%.
This shows a decrease in opportunities to a higher level, since a large part of the young people have to work.
Children aged 6 and 11 attend school 99.23%.
Tax education covers 76.3% of schools.
66.8% of the teachers.
84.9% of the students.
Growth of private education with 21% and 10% of religious education establishments.
NATIONAL EDUCATION SYSTEM
Ecuadorian Constitution - Article 343:
"The educational system has as its purpose the development of individual and collective capacities and potentials of the population that enable learning and the generation and use of techniques, knowledge, arts and culture.
Education will integrate an intercultural vision in line with the geographical, cultural and linguistic diversity of the country and respect for rights of communities, peoples and nationalities.”
INTERCULTURAL EDUCATION SYSTEM
