Colposcopic Examination

Endocervical curettage - uses a small spoon-shaped instrument to scrape a tissue sample from the cervix
Pap Test
The doctor will get a sample of cells from your cervix, which are then sent to be examined in the lab to look for abnormalities
Test results will show abnormal cells and cancer cells that will determine the risk of cervical cancer
Staging (used to determine extent of cervical cancer you have once confirmed you have cervical cancer)
Imaging tests - X-rays, CT, or MRI used to determine if cancer has spread anywhere else in the body
Visual examination of bladder and rectum - special scopes are used to look inside/examine the bladder and rectum
