Concept 3- How to use y=mx+b [Manar Ali]

Concept 2- How to Find Slope of a Line-Alia amer

rise/run

slope formila

steps to find the rise and run :

find two points on the line

make a triangle to determine the slope

count up (rise) count right (run)

put the numbers in rise/run form and simplify

how to find the slope using points on a graph:

label the points with x1 y1, x2 y2

do y2-y1/x2-x1

simplify the equation

The information will be shown like this example: m=5 and y-intercept = 10.

In a problem, you could be given the slope and y-intercept of a line.

Write the equation of a line given a graph

Using the graph, find the slope by using the rise/run technique.

Find the y-intercept.The y-intercept is where the line crosses the y-axis. The y-intercept is the (b) in the equation y=mx+b.

After that, you will be able to use the (m) and (b) to write the equation you will need to use to solve the question. The equation is y = mx + b.

Given the slope and the y-intercept

Concept 4- How to write the equation of a line-Hana elsadr

Using the example above, you can use the equation y = mx + b. Adding the slope and the y-intercept would like this: y = 5x + 10.

If the y-intercept was -10, then the equation would be y = 5x - 10.

concept 1- How to Graph a Line-Salma Hemmat

There are two ways to graph a line where you. can either use a table of values or using two points.

To graph a line using a table of values, first look at the values in the x and y columns, those are your ordered pairs.

To graph a line using two points plot the points given on the graph

After you gather each ordered pair, plot them on the graph.

Lastly connect the points and you should have a line.

Depending on the points you've plotted, your graph should look something like this. image

Connect the points on the graph.

How to use y=mx+b

1- Before locating this formula, know that mx is equal to the slope, and b is the y intercept of the line

3- The slope is used to determine if the point is negative or positive. It also creates the rise/run

2- The y intercept is where the line cuts in between the y axis
