        Changing the value of b moves the line only on the coordinate plane. If the y-intercept is positive then the line crosses the y-axis on-top of the origin, if its negative the line crosses below the origin.
      - IF two parts are given, you find the slope formula y2-y1 x2-x1 to find the slope. You then use one of the given points to find B.
      - If the line is drawn, identify the y-intercept and the slope. Use the y=mx+c formula to find the line.

      - how to write an equation of the line- you can write the equation of a line by writing y=mx+b, the m is the slope and b is the y-intercept.
      - changing the value of m changes the line from being horizontal to being more vertical. When m gets larger, the line gets steeper, when the value of m is less the slope is flatter.
      - An example is the slope being 4/5 and the y-intercept being 4.
        If put in slope-intercept form it would be y=4/5x+4.
