How to Find a Slope of a Line:
By Khadiga
finding the slope of a line requires using the method rise/run
to understand rise/run more picture someone taking a few steps up and then a few steps to the right
Run is how far you move on the x axis so to the side, if the run was 4 then u move sideway s four, unlike the rise, if a run is negative you still have to move 4 you don't go down you stay in the same place, meaning the only one that can move down values is the rise
run means the horizontal change
Run example
when u put the concept t of rise (going up a value) and run (moving to the side with a value) you can connect the rise/run and the original point on the graph and you will get a line.
rise/run graph example
rise stands for how much u should move on the y axis, so if the rise was 3 you move up 3 and if the rise was -3 you move down three(if it was a positive value)
Rise positive example
Rise negtive example
Tip: for the run, you are most likely to find the value that u are looking for on the x axis, so instead of counting until 8 you can just plot wherever 8 is on the x axis. 👍🏻

Concept 1: How to Graph a Line: By Lily
When using a table of values to graph a line, you must have an x value and a y value.
Using a table of values
Using two points
Using 1 point and a slope
Using y=mx+b
