AIR POLLUTION
Definition
is a major change in the composition of the air, mainly due to smoke, dust, vapors or foreign gases introduced into the air, which give off odors.
Cause
Natural causes
From dust wind: most of dust and waste gases is blown away by the wind.
From storms and cyclones: NOx is able to generate, possibly accompanied by particulate matter.
From wildfires: :fire: the amount of nitrogen oxides increases, fire are large and they usually take a long time to extinguish.
From volcanic eruptions: large amounts of gas mostly composed of sulfur dioxide will emerge, even creating acid rain.
From the phenomenon of heat inversions: usually occurs around the time of the season. Heat inversions create a low - layer mist which causes pollutants in the air to be trapped in the ground - close atmosphere, causing pollution.
Artificial causes
Industrial production, agriculture.
Transport.
Defense industry.
Stubble burning, coal combustion. :red_cross:
Collection and treatment of waste in contravention of regulations.
Reality
The situation of air pollution in Vietnam is also very bad. Especially in big cities like Ha Noi, Ho Chi Minh City,...
Particulate matter increase. :warning:
