        From what he said, it seems that King Jonathan's speech sounds wise and is wise is because he is talking from experience and the way he put things make it sound good and encouraging even if losing so many knights he still focus on the bright side.

        I think that King Jonathan is funny because he jokes about them not needing to get up as he knows most of you should be getting sore legs now. I find it funny as it is real but he turned it funny.

        It shows that King Jonathan is thoughtful because he acknowledges the lives that were gone. He is thoughtful about his people and care about them Some other kings may not care.

        I think that Esmond is blunt because he accidentally say the wrong thing and said the immortals are monsters even if his own teacher teaching the class at the moment is Tkaa, an immortal too.
