FEMALE REPRODUCTIVE SYSTEM
DUCTUS SYSTEM;The delivery of the female gamete includes:
Uterus
Uterine (fallopian tube)
vagina
External Genitalia

Mon pubis

vestibule
Ovaries-primary sex organ .the outer cortex houses developing female gamete,the oocyte within follicles.the inner medulla contains loose CT with large blood vessels and nerves
OOGENESIS: the process of producing egg cells (ovum)
GRIFFIN FOLLICLE: matured eggs before being released
OVULATION: the ability to release eggs that begins at puberty
OVARY SUPPORT
suspensary ligaments;secures ovary tp lateral walls of pelvis
Ovarian ligaments: attach ovary to uterus
Broad ligaments: encloses suspensory ligament
MENOPAUSE: when the reproductive ability ends
Function : produces the egg and prepares for the developing of the embryo during pregnancy
MALE REPRODUCTIVE SYSTEM

FUNCTION: the goal is to produce sperm and deliver it to the egg(ductus system)
TESTES
Function is to produce sperm
Coverings of testes
septa:extension of the capsule that extends into the testes and divides it into lobules
tunica albougnia :capsule surrounding
interstitial cells-surrounds tubules,producing male hormones
Sertoli cells:provides nutrients and supportive functions
